어쿠스틱 포크 혼성듀오 David Leonard와 Leslie Jordan의 음반을 소개해 드린적이 있는데요(All Sons & Daughters - Season One,2012), 오늘은 그들의 첫번째 라이브 앨범인 'All Sons & Daughters - Live,2013'을 소개해 드립니다!

보컬과 기타를 맡고 있는 Leslie Anne Jordan과 보컬과 피아노를 연주하는 David Alan Leonard는 오디오 아드레날린의 Mark Stuart 등이 포함된 미국 워십 프로젝트 Know Hope Collective의 멤버이기도 하답니다.

오랫만에 들어보는 포크 앨범인데요, 크리스쳔 차트뿐만 아니라 빌보드 'US Folk Albums' 15위 까지 올랐었군요.

 

이 앨범은 그들의 정규 앨범 'Season One'과 EP 앨범에 있는 곡들, 그리고 2곡의 새로운 곡을 포함하여 총13곡으로 구성된 라이브 버전 앨범인데요, CD/DVD 콤보 버전의 DVD에는 네쉬빌의 'Oceanway Studios'에서 라이브 레코딩된 7곡의 아름다운 영상이 포함되어 있습니다.

특히 클래식한 조명과 악기가 그들의 음악과 너무나도 잘 어울리게 배치되어 있고, 네온으로 장식된 밴드 이름도 참 예뻐보이네요. 소규모 공연 DVD가 이정도 퀄리티가 나온다면 우리나라 아티스트들도 참고할 만 할 것 같습니다.

 

수록된 곡 중 'Oh Our Lord'는 자신들의 앨범 뿐만 아니라 폴 발로쉬의 'The Same Love,2012' 앨범에도 포함되어 있고, 아래 영상도 폴 발로쉬와 함께 부른 버젼을 링크했습니다. 두 신곡 'Great Are You Lord'와 'God With Us'는 홈페이지에서도 가사와 함께 들을 수 있도록 서비스 되고 있습니다.

페이스북에 지난 1월에 아이티를 방문한 사진이 올라와 있던데 아이티에 관심이 많아 보입니다.  홈페이지에도 아이티를 돕는 'Hands & Feet Project' 참여 페이지가 따로 있을 정도로 말이죠. 음악도 뭐랄까 힐링되는 느낌의 음악을 하는 팀인데 어려운 사람들을 돕는 마음도 꽤 아름답습니다.

 

한참 여름휴가 기간인데 사실 휴가라고 가긴 하지만 정말 쉬러 가는건지 혼동될때가 있죠^^;; 이들의 음악을 들으면서 잠시라도 진정한 쉼, 힐링을 경험 하실 수 있다면 좋겠네요.
